About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your stories with me as well.

Our Weekend Recap

Mike's parents came up for the weekend.  There was so many different events going on around town this weekend that it was hard to choose what to do.  We ended up going to Hilltop Boilers and showed them the sugarshack where the maple syrup is made.  They have the best maple syrup and we couldn't leave without our maple fudge and maple whoopies pies too!  We found a really cute place to stop at for lunch, The Hungry Hollow Cafe in Limerick.  This will definitely be one of our new favorite places to eat.  Papa and Mimi babysat the kids on Saturday afternoon while Mike and I grabbed a coffee and headed to one of our favorite spots, Kettle Cove. I found the most sea glass I've ever found on one trip.  Thanks Dad & Mama G for visiting this weekend, lunch, and babysitting the kiddos!

Bradley reading Papa and Mimi his book he wrote and illustrated.

Bradley loved sitting on the tractors at Hilltop.

He finished in 21 seconds!

I think this might be our first family photo of 4 that wasn't a selfie!

Savannah and I loved soaking up the sunshine!

Savannah's Third Month

Well Savannah you are 3 months old today and we have still yet to conquer getting you on a schedule.  You march to the beat of your own drum and take pride in the fact that you rule this house.  We drop anything and everything the moment you start hollering at us.  Some nights you will sleep for 4-5 hours at a time and other nights you wake up every 2 hours acting like you haven't eaten for days.  The grumpy faces you make at us just make us laugh now.  We appreciate your smiles but they only happen on your terms.  Life has become so much more interesting the last 3 months but we are totally ok with it becoming more predictable...if that's ok with you my darling child.

Mama loves using cloth diapers on you and I think you appreciate them too!  You've yet to have one diaper rash and any blowout diapers stay inside the diaper which makes this Mama happy.

When you smile like this, all of us melt and will do anything for you.  We love seeing those beautiful eyes sparkle!

Dear daughter, you love to eat.  My mother always loved healthy babies and she would absolutely eat you up and your sweet little Buddha belly!

Our Weekend Recap

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather we had this weekend!  We soaked up a lot of Vitamin D, had ocean therapy, and went for long walks.  It's a good thing we did because there's a chance for snow tonight!  As much as I thought Spring was here, you can't count on anything living in Maine.  The weather changes hourly or at least that's the way it seems.

On Saturday morning we headed over to Old Orchard Beach high school where they had a free Easter event for the kids.  We took a short walk on the beach afterwards.  Then we went for another walk in our town that afternoon.  I finally found something Savannah likes being carried around in....the Beechtree Baby wrap has been a huge hit with her!  We went to church on Saturday night and Savannah had her first nursery experience.  It was really nice for Mike and I to be able to worship together and Savannah had so much fun in the nursery she slept for a 5 hour stretch that night!

 Bradley loved the science table!

 Making a sparkly tornado.

He sat so still for his face painting.
 Ocean therapy time!

Off season tourist time = sandy beaches to ourselves!
This kid could play in the sand for hours.

Very excited to go for a walk and yes he wore his helmet while walking.  He says it's his favorite helmet ever!

We had a lazy morning on Sunday.  Bradley enjoyed the extra time with Daddy and they both built some pretty cool buildings out of Lincoln Logs.  Savannah was in another one of her cranky moods so it was a good thing we didn't have any plans.  Mike and I took turns attempting to soothe Miss Priss.  We ended the night with walking to the soccer fields and Bradley rode his bike in the school parking lot.  Mike grilled burgers for supper.  Food is always on my mind lately....nursing makes me eat ALL THE TIME.

 These two love building things!

In just a few months this little guy will be riding his bike to kindergarten!
We tried forward facing on Sunday and Savannah loved that position too!

These two are always competing.
One handsome grill chef who makes extremely yummy hamburgers!

NeilMed Package Giveaway

I'm so excited to be offering another giveaway.  This one is from NeilMed and is a pretty awesome package!  It includes their classic porcelain Neti Pot, the NasaFlo Neti Pot, a Sinus Rinse bottle, and the Naspira for babies & kids.

The Porcelain Neti Pot is great for relieving allergy and sinus symptoms.  Each packet makes a soothing, non-burning or stinging solution that will help with sinus pressure, nasal stuffiness, post nasal drip, and other nasal symptoms from the flu or a cold.

The NasaFlo Neti Pot gives natural sinus relief with the pH balanced and isotonic or hypertonic solution.  The solution is free from preservatives, drug, iodine, BPA, gluten and latex.

The sinus rinse bottle is my personal favorite.  It's super easy to use and gives relief from nasal irritation and congestion.  The single piece black rounded cap will fit any nasal opening and there are no push and pull components which makes cleaning super easy!

The Naspira is perfect for babies and small children.  It provides quick relief to their stuffy noses and pulls apart for easy cleaning.  The 2 in 1 design can be used as both a nasal-oral aspirator and a nasal bulb.  It's made without BPA, Latex, or Phthalates and it's dishwasher safe!
Would you like a chance to try these products?  Leave a comment if you've ever tried any products from NeilMed before and which ones you've tried.  If you haven't tried any of their products, leave a comment if you suffer from allergies or nasal symptoms.  Giveaway will end at midnight on Friday, March 25th and winner will be notified by Monday, March 28th.
