About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Our Weekend Recap

Did we even have a weekend?  It went by way too fast.  Friday night was our first night last week without any plans.  So we were super happy to do absolutely nothing and it was everything we wanted it to be.  We started Saturday morning off early with homemade biscuits and sausage gravy.  We joined a Marriage Oneness LifeGroup at church and it will be every Saturday morning for the next 8 weeks.  I'm excited to see our marriage become something more than being "just married".  After LifeGroup we came home to grab some lunch and then headed to the ocean.  I think after our super busy week we all needed some ocean, sun, and sand therapy!  We went back to church on Saturday night for worship service.

Sometimes you just have to have a Southern breakfast!

Bradley was so happy to be at his ocean!

These kids love playing in the sand.

She loved having her feet buried in the sand.

 Happy beach smiles!

 Daddy/daughter moment

Because there's nothing like taking a nap on the beach!

We went for a walk and there was seaweed everywhere!

It was a dreary, overcast day on Sunday so we slept in and just stayed in our pj's almost all day.  I got caught up on some online reviews and laundry while Mike and the kids played Legos.   Mike also finished up the baby gate which looks fantastic!  We ordered Chinese take-out for supper and ended our night with watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  It was Bradley's first time watching it and he loved it!  And just like that another weekend is in the books.

 Bradley loves to paint!

Her facial expression just cracks me up!

Savannah was all about destroying the Lego creations Mike and Bradley made.

And there it is!  One gorgeous baby gate crafted by Mike himself.
