About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Renovate by Leonce B. Crump Jr. Book Review

Wow!  I had a hard time putting this book down.  I didn't want to do anything until I was finished reading it.  Renovate is about changing who you are by loving where you are.  What a perfect book for my season in life right now.  God made it very clear that He called us to Maine but why?  There are many days that I'm still trying to figure out His reasoning.

I love how Leonce writes that one of his hopes is that this book will cause you to stand in your community and ask yourself "Why am I here?  There is a reason and you are not there by happenstance.  You are there to be a part of God's solution to meet the need around you."  Leonce reminds us that Jesus came to earth and for thirty years was simply present.  He did no miracles.  He spoke no recorded words.  He taught nothing and did nothing for thirty years except learn the place and culture of the people He'd been sent to serve and save.

Renovate gave me a renewed sense of passion in getting involved in my community. To learn about the culture and people here in Gorham and build trust in new relationships.  To read more about Renovate or to order your own copy, please click here
