About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Savannah's Fifth Month

And we are now into 5 months of living life with you Savannah!  I almost feel like it's an accomplishment although I should feel guilty for thinking or saying that.  My dear, some days you are one of the greatest things that ever happened to me and other days I just want to curl up in a ball and cry.  The emotions you put me through are indescribable.

You now have two bottom teeth that are fully in.  You want to chew on everything in sight.  And you're like a dog with a bone when something is put in your mouth.  You chomp down and won't let go.  Teething tablets and Sophie the Giraffe have become a lifesaver during this painful teething phase.

Breastmilk isn't enough for you so we have finally introduced you to cereal mixed with apples or bananas.  Next meal will be sweet potatoes which are roasting as I type.  It didn't take you long to figure out the spoon and you get quite happy when you see food coming your way.

You are still the queen of facial expressions.  I'm positive that your killer blue eyes will be getting you almost anything you want from your Daddy.

You have started smiling more and we love hearing you laugh.  It's not often but we appreciate it so much more when we hear it!

Bath time and nap time are two of my favorite times with you.  You are so happy splashing in the tub and stay in there until your little fingers are shriveled up like prunes.  Your naps usually consist in our bed and you love to sleep in just a diaper.  Some days I lay down with you and think about how quickly you are growing up and just want to soak in every moment.

Sweetheart, I hope you always hold on to the spunk and stubbornness you have already displayed in the last 5 months.  You will go far and I know you will accomplish anything you set your mind to.  I love you dear daughter of mine!
