About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your stories with me as well.

Our Weekend Recap

We started off our weekend with eating supper at Red Robin and going grocery shopping on Friday night.  It can't get more exciting than that!  This is my birthday week so it's been fun to get a bunch of coupons in my inbox for free meals.

We planned a lazy Saturday since I wasn't feeling the best and was having several Braxton Hicks contractions.  One of Bradley's new little friends came over for a two hour play date in the morning.  They had so much fun together playing with train tracks and then some outside time in the sandbox.  The rest of the afternoon and evening was consumed with reading books, naps, football and Saturday night service at church.

Bradley has really started to love playing soccer!

Sandbox time with his new friend!

Bradley loves to help me cook and he helped season the turkey for dinner.

 Wishbone Time!

Bradley won!
I was super ancy to get out of town on Sunday after being so lazy on Saturday so we took off to Kittery, Maine.  I've been wanting to check out the Kittery Trading Post and I had a couple coupons for some other outlets there.  Christmas presents for extended family have been bought and Bradley's winter wardrobe is now complete!  We were going to check out Portsmouth, NH but we ended up getting lost and stuck at an extremely long wait at a drawbridge so we headed to Kennebunkport instead.  Mike had never seen the Bush compound which is the summer home of George Bush.  We didn't get home until 5 pm on Sunday and we pretty much crashed the rest of the night.

Kittery Trading Post is a really cool store!
As cute as he was in the coon hat, he wouldn't let us buy it for him.

Lunch at When Pigs Fly Pizzeria...the best wood fired pizza I've had!

Such a beautiful home with an incredible view!

 Ocean view at Kennebunkport, Maine

We stopped at Cold Stone Creamery/Tim Horton's on the way home for another BOGO birthday treat.  I totally cheated and had some ice cream...but the good news is that I didn't fail my blood sugar test that night!

Bradley ate chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and then had a chocolate sprinkled donut after that!  CHOCOLATE FREAK!
