About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Our Trip to McDougal Orchards

We had to make a trip to NH yesterday and decided to stop at an apple orchard on the way back home.  We just happened to come across McDougal Orchards in Springvale.  It was a very warm day, 86 degrees so it was hard to get into the apple picking spirit but the cold apple cider and apple cider donuts made our trip totally worth the heat!  The orchard offers a lot of activities but we didn't realize it until later that night when I was on their website.  They have animals you can feed, a fairy village to check out, and 10 geocaches to find around the orchard, and hayrides on the weekends.  We will definitely have to make another trip  in October.  We bought honeycrisp, gingergold, gala, and mcintosh apples and they are all delicious!  The cold apple cider was perfect and the apple cider donuts were exactly what this pregnant mama was craving.  The orchard is open daily from 9 am until 5 pm but the hayride is only offered on the weekends.  There are restrooms on site and the store accepts cash, checks, and cards.  This orchard is a must visit if you are in the area!

This little guy was so excited to pick some apples!

He was very particular about the ones he picked.

He checked each one to make sure it smelled like an apple.

Bradley was so happy Daddy took the day off from work.

Hauling our bags of apples back to the car.

86 degrees was just a little too hot for this pregnant mama.

Bradley loved the swing in front of the farmhouse.

 Picking out his own pumpkin.

Because two pumpkins are apparently lighter than one.

We can't wait to go back to McDougal Orchards!
