About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your stories with me as well.

Our Weekend Recap

It was really nice to get out of town this past weekend. We left Saturday morning and headed to CT to spend the day with Mike's grandparents.  It was a very relaxing day swimming, catching up with relatives, and eating Grandma's famous Italian meatballs & pasta and Grandpa's Italian cookies!  We stayed in a hotel on Saturday night and we binged watched HGTV.  We don't have cable at home so it was fun to see shows we normally don't see.   And it inspired us for a lot of new house projects!

A bathroom stop at Whole Foods in MA and Bradley found this fun mirror.

Sandy and Eric helping Bradley get comfortable on the big inflatable chair.

He didn't stay on very long.
He's not quite sure how he feels about swimming yet.

I love this picture of Bradley with his great grandparents!
Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for the wonderful, relaxing day!

On Sunday morning we went over to Uncle Kevin's house where we saw more relatives on Mike's Mom side of the family.  Uncle Kevin and Stacy made us an incredible breakfast with Kevin's famous omelets, a heaping platter of bacon, and lots of yummy pastries from Mrs. Murphy's.  We headed home that afternoon and stopped at Cracker Barrel for an early supper and then at the Maine Welcome Center for Bradley to find a couple geocaches.

Uncle Kevin showing how to play Big Buck Hunter.  Bradley loved shooting!
Bradley was wiped out on the way home and his head kept falling over.  Mike used my maternity belt to keep his head in place!  Bradley wasn't amused when he woke up.  :)

A game of checkers while waiting for our table at Cracker Barrel.

 Another picture with Smokey.

This geocache was hidden in the tree stump.
