About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your stories with me as well.

Bradbury Mountain State Park

We adventured to Bradbury Mountain State Park this past weekend.  It was a great experience.  There are nine different trails you can take to get to the summit.  This is really cool because you can decide what level of difficulty you are wanting.  On the way up we took the Summit which has the steepest ascent but not too difficult.  You can make it to the summit in just an 0.3 mile.  On the way back we used the Northern Loop which is a mile of easy trail hiking.  The trails are very well marked and I can't imagine anyone having trouble getting lost or not finding their way around.  There are several geocaches in this park but majority of them are off the trail.  We didn't bring bug spray (big mistake) so you need to be careful of ticks. Our next visit we will be more prepared.   There is a great playground for kids near the front of the park entrance with plenty of picnic tables and charcoal grills. This will definitely be one of our new favorite state parks to go to!
