About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your stories with me as well.

Our Weekend Recap

Our weekend was pretty laid back.  I've been having a lot of back problems that last couple of weeks so I went in for a deep tissue hip massage on Saturday morning.  It was the most painful massage I have ever had.  My massage therapist is pretty sure my left hip is out of socket which would explain why I've been in so much pain.  I spent pretty much the rest of Saturday on the couch with an ice pack.  I've taken 2 knitting classes this month so it was nice to have some extra time to work on my knitting skills.  It's a slow process because I'm left-handed learning the right-handed way.  It's not the prettiest but it's progress!

After church on Sunday, we went out to eat with some new friends and then went bowling.  It's $1 shoes and $1 games on Sunday during certain hours.  Bowling in Maine is not like bowling in SC or any other state I suppose.  The balls you use are like softballs and the bowling pins are super thin and small.  You have 3 chances rather than 2 to knock the pins down.  You have to keep your own points and reset the pins after every turn.  It's going to take some getting used to for sure!

And then of course, it had to snow on Sunday afternoon.  Thankfully it didn't stick and there wasn't much.  Just enough for Bradley to get excited about seeing snow falling again.
