I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. My Song for the Day - Whom Shall I Fear by Chris Tomlin

I've been finding myself worrying about a lot of stuff lately.  Some of it's big stuff and other is just little day to day stuff.  Is Mike going to make it to work and back home safely?  Is Bradley going to stay healthy?  How's this problem going to work out?  Am I handling a particular situation in the way that God wants me to?  The worry has been endless and it's really affecting my attitude.  It's also exhausting.  Having your mind constantly think the worst of everything and only dwelling on the negative is not healthy.

God brought a couple verses to my mind yesterday which helps me see that He's not the one putting this fear into my head.  

2 Timothy 1:7 says - "For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Phillipians 4:8 says "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things."

I've been constantly saying these two verses in my head over and over the last couple of days.  I'm not saying the worry has completely disappeared, but I don't allow myself to dwell on the what if's.  Instead I'm focusing on God giving me power to overcome these negative thoughts and focusing on things that are true, pure, and lovely.
