About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Groceries Week of January 11-17

Shaw's - My total was $60.12 and I saved $4.65.  The only thing that was on sale this week was the ice cream for $1.99 which was a special treat.  I didn't get much for my money but it's not surprising when eggs are $4.99 for a dozen and milk is $3.99 for a half gallon.  I was very disappointed with this grocery shopping trip especially since I found out I was charged twice for the buttermilk and the hummus didn't come up BOGO.

Hannaford trip #1 - my total was $52.52.  Another not so great shopping experience.  But I did make 3 meals out of those potatoes.  A side dish of fried potatoes, potatoes in beef stew, and I finished the bag making potato soup.

Staples.com - My total was $25.50 and I saved $6.37 using online code 98134.  Between this order and last week order from BonTon, I think we are stocked up on K-Cups for the next month or two.

Hannaford Trip #2 - my total was $9.87 and I saved $3.29 with a FREE coupon for the Ghirardelli chocolate chips.

My total spent this week was $148.01.  I'm so excited that this is the 3rd week in a row that I've stayed under my $150 budget!
