About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Groceries Week of November 16-22

Smiling Hill Farm - I spent a total of $27.24 for 2 half gallons of whole milk, one quart of buttermilk, one quart of chocolate milk, one pint of half & half, and one dozen eggs.

I gave Whole Foods another try on Sunday afternoon.  It was still VERY hectic but I went in with a better attitude and the experience was a lot better than the previous ones.  And I bought nuts from the bulk machines...I'm not sure why those are always so intimidating to me.  I had several spices and oils to buy which quickly added up my total bill.  I used several store coupons and a couple manufacturers coupons.  My total was $112.24 and I saved $7.15 in coupons.

This was a quick trip into Walmart to buy a couple last minute items - my total spent was $20.34.  And this is why quick grocery stops for last minute items are always expensive.

My grand total for groceries this week was $159.82.  A little under $10 over my $150 budget but I was less overwhelmed in the grocery stores this week so that's a score in my book!
