About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Fourth Week of Summer Break

And we are finished with our fourth week of summer break!  We are making so many great memories and I can't wait to make Bradley a book with all these pictures from summer break.  This is definitely going to be a summer to remember!

On Monday we went to LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Atlanta, GA.  My favorite part was the city created with Legos.  I can't even imagine how long it took to build!  Bradley had fun on the rides and he loved building with the Lego Duplos

Bradley was steering one of the cranes at the construction site.

I loved how the overhead lights went out so you could see the city lit up in the dark.

 My favorite!

The Baseball Field was really cool!

Taking a selfie on the Merlin's Apprentice Ride.

We had a stay at home day on Tuesday which was really nice especially after the day before at LEGOLAND.  We made cloud dough which was a huge hit with the boys!

This was a messy project but so much fun!
I love that these boys use their imagination!!

Play-Dough Time!

Stay at home days are great for catching up on reading books from the library!

We went to see The Lego Movie at $1 Movies on Wednesday.  I've seen more movies in the past 4 weeks than I've seen in 4 years!  I'll admit that I wasn't a huge fan of The Lego Movie although the older kids loved it!  We went to the library and Dairy Queen for blizzards on Wednesday afternoon!

Blizzards were perfect for this almost 100 degree hot summer day!

Today we went to our local water park, Shipwreck Cove.  What a blast!

We were the second ones in line anxiously waiting for them to open at 10 am.

The little kids section was perfect for Bradley!

I was so proud of Kaden for being brave enough to go on the red slide!  He went on that slide at least a dozen times if not more. Bradley isn't tall enough to go on the slide yet but I'm not sure I would have let him even if he was tall enough.  He's still my little baby to me!

We brought PB&J sandwiches for lunch and ate at the picnic shelter outside the water park.

Back in the water after lunch!

The pirate ship and slide was their favorite!

Wiped out after 4 hours at the water park!

Another great week full of wonderful memories!  I'm so thankful I have the opportunity to babysit Kaden this summer.  He and Bradley have become best of friends and they will never forget (hopefully) their Summer of 2014!
