About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Earth Fare, CVS, Ingles, and Amazon Deals Week of July 6 - 12

I have been using shampoo samples for the last week, I haven't had hairspray in 3 days, and we actually used Kleenex for about 8 hours since we ran out of toilet paper.  I refused to buy it since I knew my Amazon order would be delivered any day.  Please tell me someone else besides myself has done that before?  I've never been so happy to be stocked back up on toilet paper and shampoo!

Amazon - I ordered 5 different subscribe & save items so I saved an additional 20% on each item!  Hopefully I won't run out of toilet paper again for at least a couple of months!  I was thrilled to get my Marley's Organic K-cups for 38 cents each!!  I also bought 4 bags of Bob's Red Mill organic steel cut oats and a jar of organic coconut oil.  My total was $58.97.

CVS - I spent a total of $18.88 and saved $52.28.  I received a $10 gas card and $1 back in ECB's.  Now that I have our food switched over to organic, my next step is to change our personal hygiene products.  I just haven't had any extra wiggle room in our budget to justify the extra costs.  Hopefully in the next couple of months I can begin the change.  Any certain brands/products you recommend?

Earth Fare - I had to make one more trip back to Earth Fare on Sunday to get some more of the chicken they had on sale.  My total spent was $63.08 and I saved $22.47.

Ingles - I needed a couple of last minute items (tortillas, sour cream, teriyaki sauce) to make a couple of the new dishes we had for supper this week.  I love all the new organic products our local Ingles store is carrying!  My total was $7.56 and I saved 58 cents.

Our grand total for groceries/personal hygiene this week was $148.49.
