About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Earth Fare and Ingles Grocery Trips April 27-May 3rd

We were gone two days this week on vacation and there were two days that our new floors were being installed so I couldn't get in the kitchen to cook.  So we didn't need many groceries this week and we ate out a LOT.

Ingles - I spent a total of $55.55 and I saved $27.59.  We should be stocked up on toilet paper for awhile.  It was on sale for $9.98 with a $1 peelie coupon on the package.  I try to stock up when toilet paper is 50 cents or less a roll.  The ketchup was on sale for $2.00 and I used $1 coupon which made my total $1. We don't use this brand but at that great price it was added to my bag of food being donated to the food bank. The Chinet plates came to $1.00 after the sale and coupon.  We go through a lot of paper products for Growth Group on Sunday nights so I'm always stocking up when I see a great sale.

Earth Fare - My total was $27.32 and I saved $12.01.  I loved the Grass Fed Filet Mignon deal of 2 for $9.  The hummus was free with $5 purchase.

A total of $42.99 was spent on various meals throughout the week when I wasn't able to get in my kitchen due to floor renovations.  This amount does not include vacation meals.  Vacation money is budgeted separately.

My total spent this week was $125.86.  I was worried we wouldn't keep it under the $150 with all the eating out we did.  I'm ready to get back into a normal routine next week with homemade meals!
