About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

CVS, Happy Cow Creamery, and Ingles Week of May 11-17

I should have made this into two different transactions so I could have used ECB's and wouldn't have spent so much out of pocket.  But the store was extremely busy and I always get self conscious holding up the line due to coupons and splitting up transactions.  My total was $42.28 and I saved $57.43 and received $15.75 back in ECB's

I spent $42.45 at Happy Cow Creamery.

Ingles Trip #1 - My total was $23.74 and I saved $7.04.  My favorite deal was the Stonyfield yogurt which was on sale for 50 cents each.  I used two 50 cents coupons which doubled so I only paid $1 for 6 yogurt cups.  LaBrea Bakery had their bread on sale for $3.98 and I used a $2 coupon.  And the Applegate pepperoni might just be my new very favorite pepperoni!  The slices are huge but really good!

Ingles Trip #2 - My second trip was mostly to buy items for Growth Group supper on Sunday night. We are having Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes.  I'll post the recipe later next week.  My total was $56.17 and I saved $8.10.

So this week I went over by $14.64 which could have easily come out of my CVS ECB's if I had split the transactions up.  Or I might have saved some money if I had bought the meat and buns at Costco but fighting Woodruff traffic on a Friday isn't my favorite thing to do.
