I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. Baked Cinnamon Donuts

I love fresh hot cake donuts!  And I love donuts that are "healthier" because they are baked and not fried.  This is a great recipe and super easy to make.  I bought my donut pan from Amazon and you can check it out here.
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 extra large egg, lightly beaten
1 1/4 cups whole milk
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Ziploc bag
In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.  In a small bowl whisk together egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla,  Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
Spoon the batter into prepared, greased donut pans.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until toothpick inserted into middle comes out clean.

While donuts are still warm, drop into Ziploc bag with topping ingredients and shake.  Set on a wire rack and allow to cool.
(I also put powdered sugar into another ziploc bag and made 1/2 the batch of donuts in powdered sugar instead of the sugar/cinnamon mixture.)
