About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your stories with me as well.

Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

There is nothing quite like a homemade chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven with a glass of ice-cold milk!  You've never tasted a chocolate chip cookie like this one.  This cookie equals perfection...for real!

3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups chocolate chips

Preheat over to 375 degrees.  Cream the butter and sugars together until smooth.  Add eggs and vanilla and mix thoroughly.  Add baking soda and salt and slowly add flour until blended.  Fold in chocolate chips with spatula.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Favorites - My favorite flour to use is King Arthur flour.  My favorite chocolate chips are the mini semi-sweet from Ghiradelli.
