About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

Grocery Trip to Bi-Lo

It's been awhile since I've posted my grocery trips but then again, I haven't been doing a great job with sales and coupons.  It's so easy to make the excuse that because I work full time, I don't have to be as careful with the grocery bill.  Well, our grocery bill has spiraled out of control again so I'm back to using more coupons and finding the sales.  This morning I bought $83.92 worth of groceries and only spent $38.85.  That's a total savings of $45.07.  I love it when I save more than I spent!  Some of my favorite deals were:

Hormel Canned Chili on sale BOGO (2 for $1.78) - used 55 cents coupon which doubled which made my final cost 34 cents a can.

Meal Deal - Buy 2 Digiorno pizzas and receive breadsticks, BBQ wings, and chicken sandwiches for free.  Used B2G1 Digiorno pizza coupons so my total was $14.58 for all those items plus 1 more pizza.

CoffeeMate Creamer on sale 2/$4 - used $1.50/2 coupon which made my final cost $1.25 each

Flour Tortillas on sale for $1.09 -  used 50 cents coupon which doubled and made my final cost 9 cents.

4 lb bag of sugar on sale for $2.49 - used 50 cents coupon which doubled and made my final cost $1.49

Mustard was on sale for $1.49 - used 50 cents coupon which doubled and made my final cost 49 cents.
