Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your stories with me as well.

I am very guilty of becoming obsessed with coupons. I feel like I waste money by letting good coupons expire. There's nothing worse than missing a great sale that I could have combined a coupon with and received the item for free. I'm a terrible person for not playing the grocery game, etc. Life had become extremely busy while taking care of our two boys when Mike was recovering from surgery this past summer. The last thing on my mind was trying to coupon.
One of the best things I learned is that it's okay NOT to coupon. Buying an item without a coupon doesn't make me a terrible person. It's great to coupon, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen.
Once things started to calm down I gradually started to coupon again. But I didn't go overboard like I used to. I picked two of my favorite stores, Ingles and CVS, and those are the only stores I coupon at. The best part about this is that I enjoy shopping at both of these stores and I like their coupon policy.
So if you are in a funk with using coupons, take a break, it will be okay. Then decide which stores you like the best and only you use those. And the biggest piece of advice....Don't. Feel. Guilty. Life goes on with or without coupons.

This book takes you through Candise's heartache of not being able to have children. She learns to find contentment in life's desolate seasons. She is extremely honest and open in the book which makes it both great and hard to read. Your heart hurts with her but you rejoice with her as she learns how much God loves her and finds that contentment with not having children.
Candise is also the founder of Enough Grace Ministries. You can learn more about her at www.enoughgraceministries.com.

Bradley is 15 months old which means he will be going today for his shots. Ouch! He has been walking since he was 10 months old and is in his own little world. There are moments I watch him and I wonder where the heck did this child come from? He brings us so much joy and laughter. Ty is 26 months old and has become quite the talker. More like rambling but it's all the same. His favorite two sentences are: "Bradley did it." and "Where did Mama go?". He is the world's best snuggle bunny and I'm definitely his favorite buddy. We are praying his adoption will be final by the end of this year. We are so blessed to have two healthy, smart, beautiful boys. And yes, I can say beautiful boys because they are all mine.
Mike had a severe Crohn's flareup several months ago and had to have surgery back in July. He was in the hospital for 13 days. I'll save that story for another day. But I have experienced a new type of compassion for those who are hospital bound. Recovery was fairly quick for him and he's bounced back in an unbelievable way. Every day he surprises me with his new found energy.
I'm still working full time at the church. To save that I love my job would be a lie but to say that I love working outside the home is the truth. And for those of you SAH Mom's, please don't hate me for saying that. I adore my children. I savor each moment with them. I love my home. I love having a hot meal on the table for my family. But I love all of those things even more being away during the day. And I'm sure my husband will tell anyone that I'm in a much better mood when I work outside the home.
My friend encouraged me to start blogging again twice a week and being that she is so incredibly smart, I'm going to take her up on that advice. And we'll see where it takes me from there.....Thanks for sticking with me!
