About Me

My photo

Life is beautiful whether you're soaking in sunshine or caught in a thunderstorm. I take the beauty of life for granted too often. I have a supportive husband who I don't want to live life without, a beautiful son who is always reminding me of the simple things that really matter, and an independent daughter who is teaching me to throw schedules out the window and live in the moment. My day is made when free samples fill my mailbox. I love discovering a new product and sharing it with others. I'm addicted to coupons and every penny counts. I hope you will enjoy reading my posts and will share your success stories with me as well.

The 60 Minute Money Workout Book Review

I recently read The 60 Minute Money Workout by Ellie Kay.  I'm going to be honest and say that this book was not my favorite to read.  There were times I was just down right bored with some of the chapters.  Any time you use the word "WORKOUT", I start to panic.  I hate exercising and this book deals with exercising financially.  Ellie Kay writes about how you can have financial transformation in just one hour a week.  One of my favorite chapters in the book was Chapter 7 with the Travel and Fun Guide workout.  This talked about how we can overspend on a vacation and gave alternate ideas on where to go on your next vacation.  It also gives advice on what to bring on certain vacations to help you save money and where to find great deals on airfares and hotel costs.  Overall the book had some great advice on saving money and sticking with a budget.
